Aftermarket hid kit on factory hid 04 G35x sedan

My 04 G35x sedans headlights barley turn on they are extremely dim and sometimes flicker so I want to buy a new headlight (some black halogen ones) but I have the hid model. What will I have to do to install aftermarket hid kit and what kind should I get?

The G35 all used HID lights, I would start by purchasing a new lamp and testing it to see if that's the problem. HID's turn this wierd dim color when they have lost gas and need replacement.

^03 and some 04 sedans used halogen lights for the low beams, the bulb is an H1.

U dont have to replace the whole system. Just replace the bulbs and u should be good most likely.

For your vehicle, there is halogen and HID headlamp, since your vehicle requires HID, the bulbs model should be D2R, which is the same as my vehicle's. But I upgraded my hid to LED, since the 6K cool white.

From my experience, you just need to change a new hid d2r bulbs, no need to replace the whole headlight, since the headlights is expensive, if you want a better quality, it should take about 1000 USD, and the installation is hard to make it.

If you only need a bulb, why not buy a high price headlight. This led bulbs help me enjoy driving fun and more improtant, save a lot of money.

Up to now, I enjoy my new led headlight bulbs.

My 04' and 05' G35x's have the split HID/Halogen setup. I had to replace a H1 when I bought the 04'

If you want better lights, look into doing a retrofit, have morimoto projectors and E55 shrouds on my Accord and that flat blow away the lights on my G35 and I have upgraded Osram D2R bulbs. So I'm going to do the same to my G35.
