Greets all - the original wiper motor in my 2003 g35 sedan died approx 18mos. ago - took it to the mechanic for repair at close to a $400. fix with a remanufactured part.
Couple days ago, i'm on the road - it starts raining - go to turn on my wipers and *nothing* !!
I'm thinking this time around to go with a used OEM part - wondering if the wiper motor from a 2005 g35 sedan would work in my 2003?
Any info or other insights greatly appreciated!

Have you done any troubleshooting using your multimeter prior to assuming the problem is the wiper moter?

Are you getting voltage at terminal 18 at the IPDM?/wiper moter
Are you getting ground thru the combination switch?

Appreciate the insight Telcoman - I'm not a mechanic, will have my mechanic friend check everything you've mentioned.
Though the question still stands - if it is a faulty wiper motor - would the 2005 part be interchangeable on a 2003?

Perhaps that question could best be answered by an Infiniti Parts Department?

 

It's not the same part number. Seems to have changed after '04:
