Problem with rear power window motors
Problem with rear power window motors
So when I first got the car the previous owner said that that rear motors were replaced and needed to be programmed in order for them to work. Rear windows won't go up or down. Problem is the windows are up. And apparently I need to roll them down a bit to unscrew the bolts holding the motor. I really need help with this it's been bugging me ever since I got the car.
Check your fuses and make sure power is going to window motors at the harness plug. Then check the motors with a 12 volt power source to see if they operate. Don't take the previous owners word for it. I don't think anything needs to be reprogramed, they are not auto up or down being rear windows?
Checked all interior fuses. Ended up checking the other 2 under the hood. Their all good. Found out their was no power going to the back. Checked the wires leading towards the motor. There was no current.
I cant find where I read this, so hopefully I’m not making it up. But I believe if any part of your drivers switch panel malfunctions, then that corresponding window won’t work either. Maybe search to see what you can find or trouble shoot the driver’s master switch panel
2003 sedan right? Your service manuals are here:

"gw.pdf" is the book explaining the power windows. It's a tedious read but with some patients you can decode which colored wires and which plug pins should have +12 and which should be ground. Hope that helps you trace the problem. (It looks like your rear window switches have some illumination? If so, that should tell you if there's any power getting to those switches.)
