Factory HID assembly to Halogen?

I found out that the car i had ordered came with Factory HIDs but i need to replace the headlight assembly in order to pass an out of province inspection. Looking online for headlight assemblys compatible with factory HIDs for the sedan model has been a nightmare (I literally cannot find any). I am wondering if there is any way to install a halogen assembly in a 2004 v35 sedan? Or if anybody knows where to find an HID replacement assembly that would be helpful as well.

If the ballast died you'll jut have to replace it. Bulbs can be cheap. CN bulbs.

You ought to be able to find a complete used headlight assembly with the bulb and ballast.

Don't know why this couldn't be done. All I'd think you'd have to do is determine which wires run lo/hi/fog and the turn signal. There's only going to be 12v into the HID unit just like the halogen bulb. Interesting idea because I've never really been impressed with any manufacturer's HID system and the newer upgraded halogen bulbs make just as good of a light(IMO). A company I've used in the past called AutoLightsBulbs.com sells a pair of halogens for an 03/04 sedan for $189.00 w/free shipping. Don't know if they'll fit an 05/06 but I don't see why not(I've got an 05 sedan) Coupe listings are just HID. I've used this company a number of times and their products are good. Only drawback is everything is done online there is no one to talk to on a phone. Located in California.

Let me see if I understand exactly what's going on.

-Vehicle is failing inspection due to...... WHAT EXACTLY? Did someone install some trash LED lights into the thing?

-You don't have the factory HID equipment, housings, ballast, lamps.

If this is the problem then I suggest you look around at local wrecking yards for another G that has the correct equipment and pull it for your vehicle. Ballast and lamps are fairly cheap but getting the headlight assembly intact without broken clips/tabs can be a little expensive sometimes. However since it's a sedan I don't know, maybe they're cheaper.
