2006 G35 Sedan 5AT, Diamond Graphite Metallic w/ black interior. 2nd owner.
Production Numbers/Rare Combo?
I have been looking at a replacement driver side door panel for my G, but most of the G35s I see in junkyards seem to have the tan interior. I'm assuming black interiors are more rare than tan ones? And while I'm at it, does anybody know if my car's combo of Diamond Graphite Metallic w/ black interior is a rare one? I think it'd be pretty cool to know if my car is unique .
Black interiors are definitely more common. I have the grey/stone colored interior and I love it, but its hard to find cars in the junkyard with this interior!
Thread revival.
Whilst crawling my local junkyard for parts, I came across this:
It's a 2003 sedan 5AT. Run of the mill silver and slushbox, however- no premium package, so no sunroof nor Bose stereo/subwoofer. BUT, it had black leather interior. I thought you had to get the sunroof when you optioned for leather on these cars (?). It stank badly of cigarettes.
The build date was 09/02. It had no 'doggie door' trunk lid, though it did have a mechanical cooling fan, which I thought were mutually inclusive to each other. Could have been wrecked previously I guess and the trunk lid swapped. Maybe I'm wrong and someone can enlighten me?
This is my car:
2004.5 Sedan 5AT, build date 06/04. Diamond Graphite with no options, so manual cloth seats and no sunroof.
I need to clean/shampoo them, but they seem to have held up well. Much better than most the leather I've seen on cars locally.
My (formerly owned) 2005 G35 5AT.
Serengeti Sand with all options that I could tell. Sport package w/ Vlsd, navigation, and premium package 'B'. Bought it off a friend of my father who was original owner and babied it. She was clean, but burned a lot of oil and the suspension was royally shot. I didn't have the time for a project, but now I do since I finished university.
It had over 250k miles on it when I sold it last year, only to see it back on craigslist less than month later with the odometer 'rolled back' to 113k! Scumbag craigslisters are out there. This is why you get a carfax guys/gals whenever you buy used! AND always create a bill of sale when you sell any used car.
