Help me decide on a sedan exhaust
What about noise levels? Is there such a thing as a quiet exhaust with decent hp gains? Stillen claims 21 hp with theirs, but they admit it is loud. I like the way the current exhaust sounds, but if I can boost performance with a different exhaust, I may do it. I had a HKS rear section on my 2003 Maxima and it was on the loud side. Not deafening, but loud. Also it droned a little on the highway. Also, I guess you can get better hp gains if you coupled the exhaust with a Crawford plenum or Motordyne plenum spacer?
For anyone who has borla, do you have sound clips or pictures of it installed from underneath?
How come some are saying the borla does not increase power much when it is true dual exhaust and some of the others are not?
Thanks

I had a chance to drive a sedan with the Stillen TD on the highway and in town for a bit over 20 miles. While I like the sound of it and would place it's gain's at maybe 8hp-10hp, I got to hear first hand just why the droan issue comes up so often with the system.
I managed to not have a droan issue on my custom TD Injen and while I like the Stillen TD most of all, I'd hate to spend the money on one and risk not being able to fix the droan issue down to acceptable levels. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind a loud exhaust, my system will belt out the noise at redline with the best of them. But at that critical 2300rpm to 2800rpm range that you live with the car part throttle 99% of the time, what you hear then is critical to being able to live with the setup. Which brings me to mention the setup I would go with instead to avoid the issue (being realistic is mean's trusting the opinion's of others, what if I end up in the same boat). I'd go with the Fuji single pipe system and the Tanabe Y-pipe. http://www.hopupracing.com/taypini35.html
No one has the Tanabe single pipe system that I know of, might be a equally good choice. http://www.projectnissan.com/product...idproduct=1799
Link's are shown for information, alway's check out our forum sponcers to inquire if they sell the same thing, they deserve your business for their support of this site.

Borla was the #2 exhaust of all tested recently for power increase (Stillen being #1). Whoever's saying it doesn't... uh... well I guess they don't read(?)
I can post some clips.

Well, I can help with the Borla, but I don't know about the others
I'll be going down to the strip today, so I'll make a couple spirited jaunts and bring my cam to record videos.

I have the stillen exhaust and love it. The rumble of the exhaust when down shifting sounds awsome. I see people turn their heads when under excelleration or slowing down. Not to mention at is 13 pounds lighter than stock and gives a few extra horses under the hood.
