Re: wipers

This is a small quibble, but has anyone else noticed how fricken tiny the bottle is for the washer fluid?! I was driving home on the highway and hit a whole herd of dragonflies, and when I went to clean my windshield, I got nothing. I figured the washer fluid pump was dead, but it turns out the bottle was empty. I didn't even think about it being empty, cause I rarely use it. I put some Windex in there, and I swear, the reservoir only holds about 8 to 10oz! No big deal, but I was shocked...

Re: wipers

Yep, think it will destroy the rubber. Maybe the Bosch silicone blades will be better for him.

On a more serious note, didn't you notice the low washer fluid light on your dash?

You know, I was thinking the same thing! No light came on then, and I just went in the garage and turned the key to the "on" position to see if the "guage check sequence" would allow me to check the bulb, but I didn't get anything. The manual says there is a light for it, but I don't recall ever seeing it. Could somebody go out and see if theirs comes on when they start their car? I guess 2003 sedans only, since 2003.5's or coupes could be different(although I have no idea why)...

Re: wipers

Turning the key to 'on' doesn't bring up the light. I've only had the light show when the washer fluid is low. Mine's a 2003 sedan.

Not here yet bro. I believe that's on a similar Japanese model but not on our G's.

Re: wipers

I checked mine and no light. It explains in the O/M that it only comes on when the fluid is low, not when the key is turned on.
Still, Gaklid's low fluid light should have been on.

I agree. I'll have to have the dealer check it out, but I'm not gonna take the car in just for that. I'll wait for a scheduled service and mention it then or something. Thanks for the help, fellas!

Re: wipers

I had to use the wipers heavily (past 2 days) for the first time since I have had the car (2 weeks). They are getting noisey and leaving "rubber" lines on the windshield. Any idea on what causes that?

If you always do what you always did you will always get what you always got.

Re: wipers

Have you washed your windows with soap&water since you have gotten the vehicle? I would try that first..

Washed it 3 times is the last 2 weeks.
