wipers

It was raining when I came into work today and I have to tell you that I love the wipers on the G. I like the settings and I really like how the washer fluid comes out.

Re: wipers

It took me a couple of light rainshowers to realize that the G has speed sensitive variable intermittent wipers. I thought COOL!, then I realized that I read it in the manual and just forgot.

Re: wipers

Yeah, but the wipers were actually one of the few cons in my BMW v. Infiniti checklist. Rain-sensing is better than speed-sensing. Still, the washer nozzle location is ingenious.

Besides, in SoCal, the wipers don't really matter -- because, you know, we get torrential downpours so often here.

Re: wipers

The 3-series for the last couple of years with the Premium package has it. I haven't looked into other models.

My coworker's Buick Park Avenue has this. It's pretty cool. Never touch the wiper controls at all. They stay motionless on dry days, wipe just often enough to keep the mist off, and kick into full speed when it pours.

Re: wipers

The wipers are horrible!!! I have had my G35 since March 02, have had to replace wiper blades 3 times, most recent being yesterday. Where is does rain more than once or twice a year these Nissan wipers are pathetic. Complete unjustice for a great car.

huh?

So far my wipers work pretty good... maybe where you live, a lot of crud tends to stick to your blades decreasing their performance. When washing your car, just take a cloth and clean along the rubber edges to remove the crud, this will increase their performance and longevity.

Re: wipers

Get some Bosch wipers. I had one on my CLK430 and lasted 2 ½ years. On my G35C the wipers work just fine, and down here in FL it rains alot!

Re: wipers

Also try Rain-X on the glass. Your wipers should last longer. Some have reported great stuff changing over to BOSCH wipers as well.

Re: wipers

Plenty of wiper input from here in Oregon. Wipers work very well on my G. I have Invisible Glass on the windows though which may assist. No complaints.

Re: wipers

Rain X... great product. Used in on my 88 RX7 several years ago, the wiper control broke and only the slow setting worked, but with Rain X, since the water just blew right off, I hardly ever turned them on.

They should. I think they use an infrared sensor.

Re: wipers

yeah RainX rocks! You don't even have to use the wipers in most light rain. The water just beads off - provided you're going fast enough :->

Re: wipers

I agree about RainX. Very handy but a little hard to get used to. At least it was for me.... Together with the wipers it is a great combination!
