rear clunking over bumps

What's up guys, I've got a 2006 G35x with about 103k on it. I've recently noticed a sound coming from my rear passenger side area when going over bumps in the road. At first I thought it was golf clubs or stuff in the trunk jumping around but I emptied the trunk out and it's not. The sound is more of a thumping or light clunk over bumps when the rear passenger side hits one. I noticed that it's more prominent when going over a speed bump if the driver side hits the bump but the passenger side is on even pavement.

The clunking is not nearly as loud as when my front compression rod went out, it could be described as more of a thump up and down. In order to hear it I have to have the radio off or really low to notice the sound. After looking through threads my best guess would be the rear sway bar end link or sway bar bushings but I was looking for some more advice. It seems like rear end suspension clunking isn't nearly as common in Gs as the front issues that I have had previously.

Let me know what you guys think, it's not super loud I just started noticing it. Thank you for the help, I appreciate it.

Get it up on jackstands and start pulling around to see what's loose and clunking.

You can also push on the car near the top sash to rock the vehicle to see if you can reproduce the sound.

So I realized I made a mistake and the clunking is actually coming from the front passenger side. I haven’t replaced the compression rod, lower forward arm, ball joint, or end links on that side.

Unlike when I had a compression rod clunking on the driver’s side, I can hear it when I push down on the trunk or passenger door area. I took a
of the clunking when I push on the vehicle. Other than over bumps, I also can hear a clunk if I swerve the wheel a bit left and right when driving straight slowly in a parking lot.

Unfortunately I’m not home from college for another 3-4 weeks so I can’t get it on jack stands yet. From the ground I was able to move the end link from side to side and pull on it a bit. Not sure if it’s supposed to rotate but maybe it’s just worn and not causing the clunking.

Let me know if any of these symptoms sound specific to one of those suspension components or if the video does. Since I can hear it clunk when I push on the vehicle I’m confident I’d see something moving up and down if the vehicle was on stands and I applied force. But I have a few weeks until then and am trying to narrow it down since it’s really bugging me.

Since I have the awd model, I’m a bit worried about trying to tackle the compression rod myself. I’ve seen a few posts about the metal bushing sticking to that stud in rusty areas and it scares me a bit lol. Thanks for the help as always Cleric.
