I've been hearing a knocking noise from the front driver side of my vehicle. Today I had all the control arms in the front replaced and thinking that one of them was knocking around. I was surprised to hear that the knock continued when I drove away. I was informed that the subframe part is rusted through And that is what is knocking around. I looked at it and it's like disconnected from the chassis on the side. Anyone experience this? What is the cost to fix it? Is it fixable?

 

I would just buy another one on eBay. Probably get one for $300-$400 or so.
