Exclamation G35 257,000mls (new to me) misfiring EVAP leak, code p0345, c1130, c1143

So I started the car today, and it delayed starting longer than normal. I just purchased the car from an acquaintance when he deployed. Never owned any vq car in my life. With that being said, I have no idea where best to begin with diagnosing and fixing the issues with this car.

Open to any and all recommendations.

I also know I do need a new y-pipe, so not sure if any of these codes have much or anything to do with that.

Start with the P0345, cam sensor bank 2. This can definitely cause long cranking as well as misfiring (but you should also inspect the plugs which are more likely to cause a misfire)

Replace it with either a Genuine Nissan OEM sensor or a Hitachi. Hitachi was the OEM manufacturer for that part. It's well documented that ALL aftermarket sensor are crap and normally won't work, or they will work for a very short time then die.

C1130 - Brake control computer not receiving proper engine signal, probably also related to that cam sensor

C1143 - Brake control receiving improper signal from the steering angle sensor. This can be caused by vehicle alignment, the steering angle sensor might need recalibrated, or the steering angle sensor might need replaced. I would start with alignment since you probably don't know when it was checked last. Dealership can recalibrate the steering angle sensor (you might just want to schedule alignment at the dealership to save cost since they would probably just bundle it all together).

Tackle the cam sensor code first.

That’s the plan, thanks! And Lower Forward control arm bushings are completely worn, so definitely needs alignment after replacing. Hopefully that’ll fix that code
