Sluggish/No exhaust gas from one pipe

My 6mt sedan was with the dealer for Tranny (grinding) and Differential/Drive shaft bearing replacements. When i got the car back, the performance was noticeably sluggish. The gorgeous exhaust note that is usually present in the 3000-5000 RPM range was a lot milder than usual.

I checked the exhaust by keeping my hand at the exhaust opening as well as visually when the car was idling as well as under higher RPM by revving the car at standstill. Not to my surprise there was very little or almost no exhaust gas coming out of the right side exhaust outlet and the left side outlet is considerably darker than the right side outlet.

Please advice of any similar experience or input on potential causes.

Thanks in advance for your feedback

Not to worry, I am told that at idle only one of the exhaust is open. The second opens only when u r under heavy load like accelerating fast and above 3000 rpm. You will also notice that one exhaust pipe is darker than other, as one is used much less than other

Yeah but he said the he revved the engine the one exhaust port was still closed. That coupled with the other symptoms leads me to think there may be a problem. I say take it back to the dealer and have them check it out.

The 2nd pipe opens under engine load. When in doubt, read the owners manual. Or else I saw this feature explained on the Infinti website. Nothing wrong with the car.
