Is it my starter?

2005 Sedan, new battery, won't start. I turn the key and lights and everything come on like normal but there's no click and car doesn't turn over. This happens a couple times. I turn the key again (3rd time now) and the car starts and runs like normal. Is this the starter or something in the key cylinder/ignition? I drove the car and it was fine, then parked at home. I went back to it later in the day and it wouldn't start again--same thing, turn the key, lights all come on, but no click and no cranking. Starter?

It could be the starter or the starter relay. Those are most likely.

I'll start with the relay, thanks. Is there a particular part # for the relay? I'm searching but not finding a part #.

It should be under the hood, installed on the IPDM. U can actually swap it out with one of the other similar relays on the IPDM just for testing purposes. And if u do realize the relay is bad, your local auto parts store should have one available.

It was the stater. The only one available today (needed the car fixed ASAP) was a reman Carquest from AAP. Got it swapped out, not a bad job at all, and it fires right up again. Hopefully it lasts.
