I got this g35 with 94k miles on it with a water damaged ecu. The previous owner had popped up this clip that sealed the engine harness to the firewall to run a Amp wire under.
New ecu fixed the limp mode issue, but now i have to figure out how to reseal the grommet.
The white plastic piece clips the gromet into place on the forewall.
Here is the gromet installed into the firewall for reference.

I think u have the grommet installed backwards on that harness.
But install it as best as u can. Then u can go all around the edges with some RTV to seal up any little gaps.

I just slid the plastic piece back on to show what part and where it goes.
I didn't want to glue to connection, but the more I think about it, I can't see any harm in fixing it in place with rtv.
