so if sears sold you a battery why not go back and bark up their tree...not the dealers?
I have seen the LED stay on before and 3 out of the 4 times ive had to fix it there was major problems with the BCM all stemming from leaving things plugged into the power sockets or cig lighters.
A slight wiggle to a phone charger can break the end of the charger off in the socket and will create a constant draw (same deal for leaving things plugged in all the time even if there is no device connected). This draw tells the BCM that there is someone in the car doing somthing so it leaves the dome lights and the auto headlights on. Well since this draw is constant it totally f--cks with the auto light timer and runs the battery dead. Well this constant draw leads to shorts in the BCM so you would need to replace the socket and the BCM. Same deal for people running power inverters.
Im not saying this is the exact thing thats happeneing, but it might. An LED on all the time isnt going to drain a battery. But there is somthing else going on thats making the light stay on.
