How loud should the engine fan be?
Hey all,
I have a 2004 G35X Sedan. I was recently in an accident (damaged front right bumper and fender) and finally got it back from the body shop.
Of course, now I am looking for anything wrong with it. I've noticed that after driving for awhile and stopped at a red light or whatever, the fan is running and really loud. I don't remember it being that loud or on for so long (usually it turns off after a minute or two).
I brought it to the dealership and their service department tested it with their equipment and said everything is running fine. Of course, they didn't actually drive it around, just turned the engine on and let it idle.
Any idea if the fan should be that loud that you can hear it from under the hood?
Just to give you an idea, the car wasn't driven since the accident (Jan 22) and I recently got it back (March 19th). Is it possible that the fact that the car wasn't driven for so long is causing this problem?
Any help would be appreciated!
