Lowest HKS Exhaust Price?

Re: Lowest HKS Exhaust Price?
I'm with you in liking the HKS, vs the Greddy. I gave buying a HKS some thought. But in the end I figured that the stock variable capacity muffler likely flows well and satifies me in terms of exhaust gas volocity, vs what is likely a open design. Instead I choose to do the premuffler mod, replacing it with a magnaflow glasspack. I dunno, might still do a HKS system in the future, when I need a change.
I will say, having just been under the car and having examined the stock system, improvement beyond removing the premuffler. I think high flow cats would be a good idea, as well as a better y collector. I wonder if the HKS system stay's 2.5" diameter or goes larger.

Get one that has 2.5" piping
Here's a link to a pic of it on the car.

Re: Lowest HKS Exhaust Price?
I agree with the HKS being one of the better ones for our cars, but I would still like to hear it in person compared to the NISMO Weldina.
I hear that the NISMO is too loud and that is what I do not want. Supposedly, the HKS is not as loud.
It's still a G thang!!

Re: Lowest HKS Exhaust Price?
Cost was $70, installed. And that's including the fact that the Magnaflow I used was a bit more expensive than a regular glasspack. Plus I'll add that the shop I used is known in my area for having extreamly low labor rates. So $90 for a generic glasspack is high to me, but resonable for one like I got.

Re: Lowest HKS Exhaust Price?
G35 sedan,
As the first one to have the HKS on a Sedan. I am still enjoying it as much as the first day I put it on. It's only the muffler section so it is 2.5" It bolts directly on the stock piping. Look for my pictures on One of the older posts a few months ago. It's louder than stock. But not too loud especially compared to the Blitz. I think it's the Cleanest looking exhaust for the Sedan around. Everyone remarks that it Looks like an Exhaust for a Benz, So the Clean looks and Quality is very high. Hope this helps, NV-35

Re: Lowest HKS Exhaust Price?
Hey Gsedan35 , being new to this site, and not even having my car yet, which will be a lease, I was wondering how you like the Mods you have done. Specifically, the Injen CAI, 22" resonator and the Kumhos.
Being a lease, I won't screw with the exhaust or any of the lenses, but little things like a CAI or Nicer 225 or 235 tires will be a must.
Thanks for any advice.

Re: Lowest HKS Exhaust Price?
i went to a shop and a guy showed me the magnaflow glasspack, i think it was pretty heavy and expensive, that guy wanted 150 for the glasspack + 200 for labour!!!!!
then i went to another shop and got a full straight pipe instead. for 70. and this is CAD
i've heard the Nismo exhaust, i dont think it's too loud. but the Nismo system have that big center muffler as well. i dunno what it sound once with that replaced with a straight pipe.
right now, the stock muffler + straight mid pipe sounds pretty much like the Nismo
