Agreed. It's easy to take cheap shots at people because they either a) cannot write well or b) choose not to write well. So what? Do these people run around correcting verbal grammar as well? My guess is no. That's too personal. Taking little anonymous jabs at poorly written syntax on an Internet message forum is like honking at someone on the road. You're in a little insulated world, cocooned away a safe distance from the guy you're challenging. It's a safe pu$$y threat. (Or rather it used to be. Now you're liable to get chased down and shot. But here on G35Driver.com, you're probably safe.)

Blah blah blah. Forgive me if this seems out of line, but I've seen more pissing contests on this forum than I witnessed at a CIO conference last year. (And no, I'm not a CIO.) What does being a co-owner of engineering firm have to do with a thing except your ego, and to what degree does your tossing out the claim that you have 70 employees help elaborate your point? There seem to be a number of nouveau riche folks here who think that because they drive a $35K sedan, they need to tell everyone how they paid for it. And they'll use any chance they get to do so. Recently, some little punk boy pointed out that a friendly Infiniti mechanic who posts here will always be "just a mechanic," and another time a doofus took a shot at a cop because, well, he's a cop. Very crass if you ask me.

I'll paraphrase a quote that seems apropo: A little money can make a man little. I've seen it time after time after time myself.

No, the issue is pompous jerks with swollen heads stuck up their posteriors to the point that they're unintelligible, yet choose to crow on a podium deriding those who don't meet their arbitrary and often hypocritical standards.

Please accept my apologies for the rant.

Soad, enjoy your car. I got the gist of what you said. It wasn't pretty, but you're not looking to win a Pulitzer here. (Are you?)

OK, ok, enough with the Ozzie Osborne lingo. I could'nt understand him on the TV show and I can not read "internet speak". I'm not "hating" Soad, my brother writes the same way and I constantly have to ask him to translate it.

In the imortal words of Ozzie: " w%$#@t the f#%$k is g&@n on here?"

learn correct spelling and punctuation. if you are going to post, at least make an attempt to sound somewhat intelligent.

Soad:
Enjoy your new car, man - sorry for the negative responses from some of us here, but it's probably because most of us G35 owners are "old farts" like me, over the age of 35, and we just don't understand or comprehend the internet shorthand used by many. I, personally, am merely a graduate of a small town high school, and therefore cannot pose as a superior writer. While I have bemoaned the "dumbing down" of America for many years, I also understand that many Internet users are just typing away madly, not concerned with errors, grammar, sentence structure, blah, blah, blah! When on this forum, you might try being a little more accurate and correct in your spelling and use of grammar, just so more of us "older" guys can better understand your post, and provide you with better quality information and responses (and, in some cases, refrain from "hating"). Again, enjoy your "G", and welcome to the club!

dklau33:
While on the topic, "grammatical" is spelled with two "m"'s - but hey, who's counting ??

BByG35:
Yes, as JKWright so aptly and eloquently pointed out, it's clear you meant to use the word "unintelligible", vs. the "intelligible" that you used, but you were probably in a hurry and didn't proof-read your post before submitting, as I often do, too. Also, you meant "internet" in your closing, I'm sure (but again, who's counting ?)

JKWright:
Good post, and we're all (especially me) wasting a lot of time on this issue. But again, I, personally, would like to understand everybody's posts better, so I'm trying to get more savvy on the "netspeak" that is prevalent today.

Happy Trails .....

English please! How do you expect us to respond when most of us don't know what in the world you are talking about. When we do, it takes 1 hour when it could of easily taken a minute.

This is a G35 Forum, many of the members here are well educated and that's why we could afford such a lovely car. So give grammar a shot ok?

please do not use that picture again. even though it may not seem as racist, some of us may perceive it as such. thank you

It's definately the car !!!!!! I like the TL also and was going to buy a BMW when a friend of mine that sells Infinity cars asked me to take a look at the 2003 G35 in 2002 May. I left the lot with the Emerald Mist sport packaged G and have been happy since especially since I saved over $12,000 !!!!!!!! I'm still getting compliments on the car and it's 3 years old !!!!!!! Not to many around like so many other cars. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!

You are absolutely correct. Shouldn't have even made a comment in haste. If I don't like it, I'll just move on or not read it at all. On to more important things.

See, when I posted MY answer it was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek, not out and out rude. At least I tried to answer his question at the same time.

...That's all. I just wanted to make myself look good and then run away from what I started - Like a forum pyromaniac of sorts

This is the point where I return to the scene and save someone from the flames so I look like a hero and not the guy that started the fire.

/me walks out holding a baby.

...and then throw on a can of lighter fuel when noone's looking again.

Flame on!

You defend him, and he responds with this senseless drivel. Sorry, but I'll defend him when he at least tries to improve. Your defense only leads him further down the road of idiocy by giving him free reign to revel in it. He will of course have no clue what I just said without the aid of a dictionary-- assuming he has had training in its use.

soad, seriously. It's almost physically painful trying to read that sh*t. Try toning it down a little and maybe you won't get "hated on" so much.
