I have the AEM intake on my car and for the most part I like it a lot. One thing I noticed though is that sometimes it vibrates against the plastic "engine cover" or whatever you call it underneath the engine bay, and it makes the nice intake roar sound more like a raspy vibration. I haven't figured out a way to stop that yet, short of moving the intake up a half an inch every month or so (it always seems to return to that position after a while and it's hard to adjust based on the rubber bungee bolt that holds it in place.)

Other than that I love it. No A/C line clearance issues or any of the other negative experiences some others have had with other intakes (engine cutting out when idling at speed etc)

I also managed to pick mine up for $100 too so you can't complain about that

I've heard the same thing... About the "stubby" intakes that don't take air from the front air ducts but instead take air from inside the engine bay. The AEM CAI is not one of the stubbies. Nor is the Injen RD1992.

The JWT pop charger is a noise mod. It is NOT a cold air intake. Rather, it's an unrestricted WARM air intake. I imagine you'd see losses with it in the real world. The stillen high flow airbox is no more of a cold air intake than stock, but it's a less-restrictive intake. I imagine you would see INCREASES with it in the real world.

- The stock intake, by the way, is not bad at all. It probably catches WAY more cold air than the pop charger or one of those cheap $100 intakes you see on ebay. The z-tube is a good addition for increasing efficiency of the horrible stock intake tube, but if I were going the z-tube route, I'd do it either in combination with the stillen air box, or with the stock airbox.

NOT a CAI:

NOT a CAI:

Stillen: A good choice.

...Can't find pictures of AEM or Injen installed but the difference is they take cold air from the outside, not warm air from inside the engine bay.
