sound diff for cai: AEM vs INJEN

the title says it all.. is there a difference between the sound of aem and injen cold air intakes? i've heard the injen intake and fell in love with the sound, but im interested in AEM's water valve thingy to protect my engine... if the aem intake sounds like the injen i'd def get that... but if it sounds worse i'd rather get the injen... btw im assuming both of the intakes produce the same power.. if not the difference shouldnt be noticeable

i wish the AEM V2 was out of the G35 i heard those are the most aggressive sounding instakes because of their dual piping thing which is for performance...\

most people will tell you intakes wont affect your power in any drastic way so go with ur preference in looks/sound unless u drag and split 2nds count for u ... and with the air bypass valve what it does is if the filter get submerged in water it sucks air through the valve instead of water into the engine...

but no g35 should ever be going through water that is what 5-10+ inches deep for the filter head to become submerged... dont worry about hydro-locking just keep the throttle light through large puddles...

its always safe to have the bypass valve, just in case though
so AEM or NISMO which is pretty much the same as AEM

you can buy a bypass valve, cut ur injen piping and put it on there..... it will work, they are like $40 bucks..... i got the injen intake and i got the heatshield to block the rain coming in the vents, as far as puddles, take an alternative route.... but to be safe you can cut it and no one will ever know it didnt belong.... no one ever talks of nismos intake.... to me i like it the best becuase of the black piping, seen it on a 350z with nismo exhaust, his car hauled ***, it hadda help a bit too.....

i have the nismo and i love it, gives you a piece of mind when it rains hard (like now). But if you do get the injen, i've heard of people just converting it to short ram style. Kind of annoying i guess but better safe than sorry. The version 2 of the nismo looks the coolest since its 1 long pipe as opposed to the version 3 which is just like version 1. I heard version 2 didnt work as well or something so i dunno. If you're going w/ aem, u might as well get a nismo because it looks better. Other than that, the choice is up to you.

You can get the Inejn in black also.

Those pics on eBay are probably just random pics of AEM intakes for other car just to get an idea of what it is. Its not necessarily the same model shown in the pic usually.
