It's Hawaii, what do you expect. It's not like there's another dealer around. Consider it 'Hawaii' tax. That's what you get for having awesome weather all year around

I am a new owner myself. Just bought a '05 G35 Sedan, premium package with Navigation in Twilight blue with stone interior. MSRP was 36,900. I did a 42 month lease and he lowered the price to 35,000 along with taking some fees out and had approximately 4k in equity on a trade-in including the sales tax credit. It came out to $420 a month for the first 24 months, then ~ $450 a month for the last 18 months, the difference was using up the sales tax credit, also so after 2 years I have used up the credit I may just purchase it. Anyway it shows that the dealers can lower prices on leases as well as on purchases. This dealer had started at a payment of about $530 a month and went down to what I said above. He did say he gave me the VPP pricing and that he had to make approx 3% over invoice on a 05, of course really laying it on thick that it was a deal. I think I did ok. For me it came down to either buying the car with the exact options I wanted in an acceptable color now or waiting till september when I could get a better deal but most likely would of had to compromise on options/color.

IT IS HAWAII!!! But Hawaii aint what many expect. It's so damn hot down here. I rather have the hot and cool whether like in Cali or Nevada. But the beaches are a plus!

Anyways, Calypsi, seems like u did a decent job in bringing down the lease price a 100 bucks. If i were to pay around what u are paying, i'd acutaully be satisfied, since my s2k is 465 a month lease based on a 32875 Price.

But some of these damn salesman dont know a thing about the cars they sell (only the money they can scam from us) Honestly, all the cars that I have purchased, every dealer i delt with knew less about the car than I did!

But yeah, still waiting on the GM to contact us back. Will update when i get any info.
thanks for your responses!!
