Talking OMG! The Midpipe is Awesome!

Omg guys! I finally had my coupe midpipe put on and i have been smiling non-stop for the last 5 hours now!!! haha! It sounds so freakin amazing, just like a coupe or 350, maybe even a little deeper than those two. I had one of my friends drive my car right by me as i stood on the sidewalk, and as he flew by, i was like: "did a 350 just pass by?? Nope! That was MY car!" haha. Anyways, i highly recommend it so there...

Got to agree with you. I also have the HKS muffler & it's amazing.

On the way home Friday I had a guy pull up tight behind me in a Celica TRD.
At first I thought it was going to be one of those situations...

This was on a back road & I was going though the gears in MM.
Part way along, I noticed him lower his window.
Later he pulled along side at an intersection, tugged his ear & gave me thumbs up.
I guess he was just enjoying the music from my exhaust

Call Mark at Grubbs. He'll take care of you. I know the sound improvement is unbelievable, but with the weight loss and possible air flow improvement it has got to give you a couple of horses.....I know I like mine!

Does the midpipe fit on the X as well? Also, does it add any droning while cruising on the highway? What about any hp gains due to the removal of that huge resonator? Any input here?

Tgr8r,
You say you have the HKS muffler and the coupe mid-pipe? I bought the HKS
muffler from one of the members here. He said the coup mip-pipe sounded bad
coupled to the HKS? Any droning issues? I may just have to buy a mid-pipe
and hear it for myself. I want but think I can't!

Cato;
Absolutely no droning issues.
& I consider myself somewhat sensitive to the issue.
I had a Borla TD which I removed 'cause I couldn't stand the
drone @ 2K rpm.

You can cruise arround & it's very pleasant, evan passes the
co-pilot (AKA wife) test.
When you get on it..... OMG it's amazing.

The coupe midi & HKS is a match made in exhaust heaven.
I've had many compliments in the last couple of weeks that I put it on. (the midi that is... had the HKS b4)

Sounds great!
Now I have 2 future mods to do:
1) 3/8" plenum spacer
2) coupe mid-pipe
Which do I do first???????????

does the coupe stock mid pipe fit on the sedan 2003? Is a midpipe the same as a Y-pipe eg Gruppe-S? Sorry for being a noob. Thx
