Agree with JustBrilliantX

A must to keep on if you ever go to Jersey. All state troopers use it and many in local towns. If I turned it off where I am I would have a revoked DL by now. =)

 

I live in SFL, got a BEL V95, turned off x and POP...too annoying, and always false.

Annoying thing is, one time I was driving down the road on the right lane, I see a cop so I slow down, but radar or laser never go off. The car right behind me on the left lane gets caught. My detector didn't even beep...makes me feel like I wasted $300 for nothing. If the cop was using laser, it should've crossed my car.

I'm thinking of getting a V1 instead from all the good things I've heard about it...especially that it tells you from which direction the signal is coming from. That'll help me alot.

 

I'll have to keep that in my notes. I wouldn't want to be caught out, if I ever go to Jersey!

so looks like i cant turn X off since im from Jersey.. im in a suburban area and i the only time X rings for me is at a local sunoco gas station and some convenience stores.. like a few walgreens etc.. ill keep it on for a bit more before i turn it off though

My Escort has saved me a countless times in San Antonio, TX and the surrounding countryside. After 2 years of owning this radar detector I actually ran into one x band speed trap. It was a motorcycle cop at the bottom of a hill on a side road. My recommendation is to leave x band active.
