Used '03 or New '03.5?

Hi All.

I am close to buying a G35 and I need a little advice . . .

I think I can get a pretty good deal on an '03 with PREM/Winter Pkg. But I've been hearing that the dealerships are giving great deals on the '03.5 and that the '03.5 has some significant improvements over the '03. I've heard the '03.5 has less rattles and that the BOSE system has actually been upgraded in the '03.5. Is that true or just a myth? What would you do? Thanks.

I haven't heard anything about the Bose system being upgraded. The 03.5's have been out since about October, and this is the first I've heard of that rumor.

As for which one you get, that ultimately depends on what kind of deal you can get on the used one, and what condition it's in.. compared to what kind of deal you can get on a brand-new, fully-warranted one.

jpatrick,
if you can get a great deal on the 03.5 model..I say go for it..so you know that you put all those orginal miles on it...and you can actually say..i'm the original owner..hehehe

But it really all depends on you..its wat you can afford..sorry I couldn't be more helpful... Its a tough decision...

I'd go 03.5 myself. But if you can get a good deal on an 03, then go for it.

I went through the same dilemma as you before i finally decided on a new 2003.5 and have not had a single regret. The idea of owning a brand new car was too appealing and i got a great deal (couple hundred under invoice) so t became a no-brainer...

If the used car is in good/great condition, then determine how you plan to finance your deals. If you plan to BUY, then I would get the used one, it has already taken a lot of depreciation just by someone taking it new off the lot (you should be able to save 4 grand, maybe more if the seller is desperate). If you plan to lease, then it's a no brainer, get the new car.
