Hey everyone I'm fairly new around here, I have an '05 Sedan.
My steering seems a bit hard to turn...I'm not sure if I'm making sense...I am used to turning the wheel (in a parking lot for example) with little or no force. It seems that with the G you have to put a little more effort to turn the wheels...At first I thought it was because the car was new and the parts were new. But it now has 2500 miles and the steering is the same.
For reference I have the sport-tunned suspension and the factory 18" wheels. Would this have anything to do with it?
I also drive a truck with offroad tires and the steering is waaaay easy.

The power steering on this car is certainly not overdriven like on some vehicles, it's no SUV... But you might check tire pressure just to eliminate one possibility.
What you described doesn't sound out of the ordinary. You might test drive another or find someone locally to compare it with though just to put your mind at ease.

I believe it does have to do with the sport suspension. I have the sport susp. and the steering is firm/heavy. It is good at highway speeds, but a bit heavy at slow rolling speeds (10mph and below). I have driven non-sport susp. loaners and the steering is much lighter. I guess we need speed sensitive steering.
Steering on mine is also very tight when compared to the front driver I used to have. It was the same in the DEMO I drove. I thought it was because I had become used to the front tires 'pulling' themselves along and now these being 'pushed..'
Dunno - I'm used to it and prefer it now.

My steering has always been "heavy"
I have a 2003.5 non-sport and found my steering to be "heavy" as compared to other G35 loaners (both sport and non-sport). I actually like it this way, as many cars today do indeed have their power steering boosted way to high for my tastes, and feel I have better feedback at speed. I asked the dealer to check it (just in case there is a problem) a couple visits ago, but the answer came back "normal".
I don't think it's a problem with your car. I noticed this too immediately but didn't think too much about it. It's a little heavy when your gooing slow but once you are at about 20 to 30, it's fine.
