Well, I gave you guys the link last november when this subject came up...I know its a mod that some of you may be too conservative to consider, but - if you have the means, i would highly recommend it. It's all the rage with the BMW guys, and I hear the TL forum is organizing a group buy.

It's supposed to increase the range of your fob by at least 15km and give you 6hp at the wheels (when you sand the inside of the unit)

I'm waiting on mine, as i wanted it powder coated. Also, it works fine with metallic tint, as you activate when you are external to the car. If you attempt to use this in your vehicle, it will sterilize you. If you are already sterile, then you can simply carry a bag of microwave popcorn and enjoy the fringe benefits of the new fob-extender (no snickering)

I sat down in my bedroom with my keys in my pocket and the alarm went off on my car parked in the garage. My other keys must have pressed against the panic button. I immediately thought of this thread. Distance was about 50 feet or so.

 

My remote works from my office on the 5th floor, and the G is about 50 feet away from the building -- so over 100' -- but I agree the ground performance is only 30-40'

Infiniti made a really bad remote...the range is poor, it looks ugly compare to all other cars such as BMW and BENZ, the remote and the key should be one piece product or they should made it an option for us to upgrade it (i would pay to get a better looking key), and finally it looks like remote for a Honda CIVIC....

 

The range for my remote really sucks too.

Its the electro static your body produces that makes the "chin thing" work. The same thing happens when you rub your feet in the carpets at the Casinos.....then go shock yourself when touching the slot machines.

When I leave the office late and my car is the only one left the signal reaches the length of the carpark (no silly holding to chin etc - just press button holding at waist level). This is 80-90 paces which is well over 120'. Not bad but not as good as the remote on my old Lexus.
