This sounds strange, but point the remote up under your chin and hit the door unlock. For some reason it works from a lot farther away than normal. This really works.

Just kidding, try it you'll like it. With all the wireless stuff transmitting these days it could be interferance from any number of things.

I managed like 50ft once, but I'd say 30ft is the norm for me. I'll try the chin thing, lol.

No kidding, I have unlocked and rolled down windows from almost 100 feet away, and that's without the chin trick!

Last night I managed to arm the car from the top of the stairs of Cal State University which is really high overlooking the parking area. I did this repeatedly testing the maximum range. The car was really far away and I used the chin method. I estimate distance to be about 200 feet or more.

You might try putting in a new battery in the remote. I might have been sitting in the dealers lot for a while....I usually get about 50 feet of range from mine

I wasn't real impressed either. But it sounds like distances vary. Thanks everyone for your reply. Will have Infiniti check it when I take it in for it's first oil change. The only other problem that I'm having is the dim light on the clock. I just picked up the car last week. I would have expected that this would have been addressed since there is a TSB on it.

Didn't they rectify the problem by making the hands a little bigger, instead of the light brighter? There was a concern about too much reflection from a brighter light.

I notice that I get greater distance from the front of the car and not the back? Is the receiver in the dash or the trunk? Oh well mine sucks too-I only get like 20 feet

As for the dim clock light....
I brought mine in complaining about the dim light.
The dealer informed me the clock has been recalled.
They put a new one in that had thicker hands and correct
lighting. I't just fine now.
