Hard wire a COLOR IPOD to the G35 possible?

I'm in the market for a IPOD and leaning towards the color version. I've heard the hookups a little different than the black and white IPODs. Has anyone here hard wired a COLOR IPOD to a G35?

does it work with the 03 with no SAT button??

i hate the sound quality of my Monster FM transmitter....
