Any mod available to lock all doors after the vehicle is in motion.
I got my 6mt 2 weeks ago and I am burning the road with it
I would like to know if there is any mod available to lock the doors after the car is in motion.
If you noticed, a bmw would lock all its doors (if unlocked) in 5 seconds after car is in motion. (I think this is an option provided by the car's security system)
Cheers

I guess I'm allowed to do this!-I've copied my answer to a recent similar thread. So does this count in my total posts?
This is the address for a module that willl let you roll your windows UP and will lock your doors when you start the engine. He is a frequent contributor to the site.

I have not done this yet.

Python Responder w/remote start does just that - lets you roll your windows up (front ones only, unless you have a luxury package, in which case it can roll all windows up and down), lock the doors when you start the engine (with a few second delay), remote start (obviously) at up to like 200 yards when in plain site, or within a block or so when obstructed, gives you clear status if the car is locked/unlocked/started/etc on the remote itself. very handy, probably the most convenient mod i've ever done (or had done).

btw, Python = Viper, so get whichever one, doesn't matter.
/edit: you may be out of luck with remote start on 6MT - i think i remember the installer saying that remote start does not work with manual transmission cars... still worth looking into, if only for alarm itself. BTW, the alarm works in conjunction with factory alarm, as in, both are on when the system is armed.

Well the easiest way to do it is to reach down and hit the lock button. My taurus SHO had the autolock feature. I wasn't so enamored with it. a problem I see with having an auto lock is that when the door is locked and you pull on the inside door handle, the door will not unlock and open like it did on my SHO. In an emergency situation, it would make it that much harder to get out of the car.

The KP Tech device is only $60 (+S&H) and looks like it is pretty easy to install. I suspect the Viper is a little more than that! (but it does do a lot more and seems not to work on a manual).
MrBillMartin-I suspect the dealer can't do this because there are so many questions and threads about it, but maybe they can. Maybe one of our knowledgeable mechanics will have the answer.
