Has any one here on a G35x raced a more or less stock WRX either from the stop or a roll?? Wat were the out comes??

 

i raced my buddy in his wrx vs my 6mt sedan from a roll and a stand still. First and seccond gear are = but halfway through 3rd you pull away. WRX turbo boost lowers after their 3rd gear. From a roll on the highway you will definately walk him up to triple digits.

 

I have driven an 04 WRX and my own 04 G35 6mt (not an X), and it's pretty clear to me the previous post is correct, the G will walk away from the scooby by third gear. By about 70, aero will really start coming into play too.

 

Having test driven the 04 WRX and owning an 05 G35-X -- i'd say the WRX takes it off the line for sure and then who knows the 35x ever reels it in .. not sure bout that.

The 35X is a dog off the line.

 

I would not categorize the X as a dog off the line. I had an o3 Maxima before this car and it was pretty strong off the line. The X is a bit stronger due to AWD. Also, if you are planning on coming off the line hard, turn off VDC. I have no complaints about the capabilities of this car.

 

I ran against one, rolling @ about 20mph. Pretty much equal until I started hitting aroung 60-70 mph, started pulling on him and he gave up @ about 110 mph.

 

Has anyone here, that has a G35X, raced a more or less stock WRX? Either from a stop or a roll? What was the outcome?
