Door side strips

After washing and waxing my G i noticed that the right side side strips on the door has some spots -- not water marks , initially i thought it was some sun reflection but it is still there.

Has anyone faced this problem

Thanks

If the strips are doing their job, it's probably paint from being struck by the doors of careless parkers. The fact that it's on the right side would follow since you are more likely to take a hit from the driver's door of an adjacent parker. Had the same problem; marks polished out easily.

I have one spot on my passenger side front door that could pass for a reflection of something until you really look at it, then you can see that it is lighter than the rest of the strip.

No biggie. No notices it me I imagine. I'm not pulling door trim off and reinstalling just for that.

I dont think its hit by any other car because that would be evident and its more like a reflection and lighter than the original paint colour.

How do i get it off

Thanks

Plastic is usually easy to work with. Ask your local body shop for ideas.

Mine isn't damaged - it just has a slight discoloration about half the size of a dime. It looks more like a reflection than a discoloration. Materially the strip is intact.

I also have one spot on my passenger side front door that it is lighter than the rest of the strip.

My biggest gripe is that the door guards barely extend out much, and the door is so tall and flat. I have the feeling that this car is going to be a door ding magnet - because you can't always park a mile away by yourself from wherever you're going.

I'd seriously consider putting thicker door guards to be able to block other doors.

Strangely, my first ding came after I parked in a spot with no one around me. A big new Lexus 400 put a small ding on my driver's side. (It's not much, but I can see every imperfection.)
