Cant Fill Up Tank
#31
I got shot down...
My car hasn't filled past 3/4 the last two times I've filled it. I told my service rep and he said its normal, and that it's happening because it's so out right now. I really didn't buy it, but I haven't had any difficulties getting to 3/4 (no consistant shutting off) just one shut off at 3/4.
I wanted to check on this board tonight to be sure, but I think this might be my problem. If it only stops once, but stops early, is that a problem with the valve??? Or is this really normal???

Not fixed for 2006
Hello All,
This is my 1st post since purchasing my 2006 G35 3 weeks ago. I have been having the same issues as you guys. I wanted to blame the pumps at Shell but I now know that its the car. I have an appointment with the dealership tomorrow and I will mention the TSB. I will let you all know if this corrects the problem. Other than that, I racked up 1100 miles and love my G.
Thanks
Brian

I have an 03.5 Sedan that I bought new. Never had any problems with this until I had the car taken in for safety recall. They took out the fuel tank and then replaced it. The first time I filled up, the hose clicked off before usual. I didn't think any more about it until I started up the car. The gauge read 3/4 full.
The next time I went to fill up, I was only able to put 3 gallons in the car before it clicked off. I realized that I would have to add fuel slowly and take the risk of it overfilling.
The last time I filled up, everything was fine. I couldn't figure out what was going on until I saw the postings regarding this issue. Thanks for the tip about what is going on.
