I want to use something like the Stillen license plate adapter on my new '05 sedan, but wanted to know if anyone has tried.

I checked the thread of the tow hook, and it is M24 x 3. This does not corresponsd with the 22mm that Stillen says, but it may be symantics at that point. They have part# 105460 for the Coupe, and 105450 for the 350Z.

I designed something that would work by cutting off the head of a bolt, and 1/8" Type 304 stainless steel plate, but even at cost the parts are more than the $65 they want.

Any other suggestions, opinions, or experinces would help.

I looked at the Stillen plate holder, but it looks like it is more of a temporary set up meant for show cars, easy to remove once you get to the concourse. It looked to me that it would be too easy for some one to walk by and unscrew it and take it away. I decided to go with the more permanent Infiniti solution.

 

I also have the Infiniti 'plug' filler. hehe..
