Stock stereo questions

Just bought an 05 w/ the stock stereo and was trying to get the display feature to work. When the CD is playing I press the display button and it says NO TITLE. Is there something I'm doing wrong , or is this feature only work for satalite or the Bose?

Also, does anyone know the differences b/w the stock and Bose stereo (speakers, amps). I know the Bose has the subwoofer and the stock does not. Does the Bose have more power?

Here's some good info for ya...

True, the display is for MP3 CDs, but also works if the CD you bought from the store has CD-TEXT on it. It's a part of the CD that most MFGs don't put data in, but it holds the text for the artist, track names, Etc. Most of the time this info is on MP3 CDs, cause it's part of the MP3 and is recorded that way.

Not doing anything wrong, just have a CD that doesn't have CD-TEXT on it. If your burning CDs at home, check if your CD burner supports CD-TEXT (most don't).

Later, Joe

This is my one big gripe with iTunes. It does NOT support CD Text. Considering that about 75% of my library's in AAC / MP4 format, I'm currently trying to find a batch transcoder (for free) that'll take all those files and dump out MP3 files of about the same quality.
