I have an 05 6MT sedan with 2200 miles on. I just started noticing something (oil/transmission fluid?) accumulating under my car in the garage. It's very light, but is this normal? I've never had a new car leak any oil.

I'll check with the dealer later but figured I'd check here first.

Thanx!

If you place some light paper under the engine/transmission you may be able to pin point the leak source/type of fluid yourself before taking it to the dealer. (if you don't want to wait for the dealer diagnosis.)

i just had my '05 coupe leaking oil. take it in to the dealership. i had mine towed... because i wasn't sure how long it was doing it. dealer replaced an oilpan gasket ... said the old one wasn't installed properly. u may have a similar problem on your sedan.

Check the fluid & see if it's "oily", it could just be water condensing of the AC.

Yep - check the fluid with a white paper towel - if it's not water, you'll know it. My A/C drips a good bit of water onto the garage floor - but it's been really humid recently.

UPDATE - dipstick was loose, wasn't inserted all the way. So, oil was coming out. Brand new G, so I don't know why the dealer didn't check this before delivery, oh well. On the plus side, they did a free oil change.
