Smile Lowering with "Z" springs GOOD OR BAD??

Hey guys i have an 05 sedan and was thinking about putting the "Z" springs on the car. I was just a little curious on a few things. How much will it lower the car and will the ride change at all. If anybody knows some details on this topic it would really help me out. thanks for the help

I just lowerd my 03. Its a good bit more firm. Not harsh but firm. I would say it lowerd the car about an inch. There will still be about an inch of clearance between the front tire and fender and the rear will sit just below the fender. Looks great to me. Oh, and you wont be able to get your rear camber back in spec. Close, but not perfect.

The 350Z is a lighter car so the Spring rates are different. Your Car will Drop lower then the 350Z. Not really a Good Or Bad thing. I'm Currently Running Skunk2 springs for the 350Z My front is 1/2" too Low I'm Scraping over EVERYTHING, They had to put a Spacer in to raise it up. Their new springs will have the Correct Drop and spring rate..........

The spring rates are not an issue with regard to the weight of these cars. The 350Z convertible was heavier than the '03 or '04 G35 Sedans or coupes. And Nissan did not make special springs for the 350Z convertible. You might want to check out the weight of your '05 Sedan though.

The Z springs are the same rate as the sedan sport suspension springs.
(stiffer than regular sedan)
I would not go to Z springs on a regular sedan without also
upgrading the shocks.
D-spec shocks & Z springs are an excellent pairing.

You can do Z springs with the OEM Z shocks though That's what I'm gonna do, gives 1 inch drop all around on sedan.
