How much for fluid change and flush?

Dropped the G off at the dealer today to have some warranty work done and figured since it has 37k miles on it I would have them do a tranny fluid change and flush. The dealer quoted me $190+tax for this service! Is this reasonable or waaaay out of line? I figured it would be around $100.

I got it done last service (Manual Tranny, so fairly simple vs the auto) and your $100 was just about right, including fluids. The Auto tranny requires a lot more materials and more labor - since it's truly a "flush" vs an "empty and fill"

So how much would a auto tranny flush be? My dealer told me like $300.

Nissan ATF for the G is $9+ per qt at parts counter.

If that expensive, it must be good stuff.

I know there are several opnions on this, but is it recommended at 37K? i noticed the manual states to only inspect the fluid at 30k and 60k.

Is there a way to inspect the fluid on an '03? I know it does not have a fill area and/or dipstick.

If it's done right, that's a good deal. The fluid we have in our trannies is good synthetic, + flushing, + filter.

You're lucky you don't drive an X. Well over $300 if ya don't do it yourself. Fluids for the AWD are ridiculously expensive even if you do do your own.
