True, it is not a major problem and I can think of other things, like memory seats, which would be higher on my more useful wish list. But, this is the first car I have ever owned (going back to the 60's) that has this hood prop rod. It is just plain too cheap for a $35K car, no excuse.

 

I think the IS300 has this hoop-rod set-up, as well...
I'm not too certain on this, but it's either the IS or some other G35 comparable model.....

 

Yea the IS300 has the hood prop rod but its all the way to the side where as on the G35C it's towards the front and a little to the side where it gets in the way.
