The '05 Turn signal mirror cover will also fit the 03-04 models. I have them on my 2003.5. Unfortunately, I didn't write down the part numbers before I installed them.

They come prepainted right? but aren't they crazy expensive? How tough is it to wire in the turn signals on them; don't you have to run a wire from the headlights to the mirror?

If I can install these then anybody can install them – with enough patients. No, the wires don’t run from the headlights to the mirrors, the kit includes a logic module that splices into the BCM wiring. The instructions for this install are here:

http://www.g-owners.com/article_read.asp?id=9

Without these instructions as a guide, I don’t think I could have installed them. The instructions that come with the kit are all in Japanese and all the diagrams are for a right hand drive Skyline.

I had mine installed over a year ago. They give the car a nice look. I tried to do the install myself using the same DIY listed here. I ended up braking the mirror trying to pry it out so I had the dealer install it in the end. I lucked out because the dealer I took it to, had a japanese tech working there, he had those installed in less than 2 hours and a very clean install job too.

Infiniti/Nissan has this exchange program seems like, where they bring some of their workers from Japan to work here. The guy had been working under Nissan hoods for over 20 years so i really lucked out.

Do these mirrors fold as well when the car is turned off? If so does it require additional hardware or a software update?

No, the mod referenced in this thread is only for the turn signals.

Dyenboy, you are right, it is only a cover that goes over the existing rear view mirror on the vehicle. The DIY explains all that. To get power folding mirrirs (which is an option in Japan) you have to look somewhere else. Japanparts does not advertise them on their website, only the covers and now they carry a different set of covers that fit the 05 models. I personally like the look of the 05 covers better than the 03-04 covers.

I "think" this the folding mirror option for the Skyline:

Can anybody read Japanese?
