Change AT Fluid at 30k mi

Is every one doing this recommended maintenace? This stuff is $9+ per qt, but I;m sure it's worth it. Any better/other aftermarket substitutes for Type J Nissan-O-Matic fluid?

It's expensive but I've read it's worth the investment and will do mine at that mileage.
Don't substitute any other fluid for Nissan Type J fluid. It's the best quality synthetic, and Nissan will void the tranny warranty of any ride found with other fluids.

I passed at 30k, but I did do a fuel flush which is basically cleaning the fuel injection.

I just passed 60K miles and had the AT flush. They used 11 quarts of the Jmatic fluid. I also had the change at 30K miles. I would not pass on the transmission maintanance schedule. Still running smooth as ever and the shifts are quick and crisp.

Did my Tranny flush and fill at the dealer with 44K on the odo... it could be in my head, but the shifting did seem smoother after the fluid change. I'm going to do the flush and fill every 30K going forward.
