Does anyone know what the max tire pressure that Bridgestone recommends? Nevermind, I just checked tirerack and they say 51 psi max. so these pressures may be harsh, but not dangerous, right?
The tire pressure you should be running at is on a sticker in the door opening (d/side I think) and for the Sedan it's 30 psi. The Coupe is 35.
I used to run my Sedan tires about 33 psi because I preferred them a little harder.
The max pressure you are reading on the sidewall is not the intended pressure for everyday running.
The reason the tires are shipped so hard is to prevent flat spotting during tranport and should be lowered by the dealer when he does your pre-delivery inspection (that we pay a pretty penny for. )

Just checked all four of my tires about a week ago and they all seemed to have 32 psi except for on which was at 30 psi. I checked it about 2 months and 2500 miles after I picked up the car.

How stupid is Infiniti-why make a wallet key that doesn't operate the car is really dumb. "Hey I lost my key and hooray I can get in the car but boo hoo I can't drive it". Forces one to hide an ignition key in the car as insurance. dumb, da dumb dumb, dumb....

I think the intent was to get you in the car if you locked your keys in the car. Whatever the intent is, I like the idea.

Yeah, I'll be sure to have them check out the psi before I drive it off the lot when I get my G in a few months. Thanks for this bit of info.

Did you trade in your 04 for an 05? If you did, how much depreciation did you get hit with? Thanks.

40PSI all around (cold tires)... sticker on the door jam says 33PSI... the ride was somewhat harsh, but i really didn't notice it since my last ride was a 95 Mustang GT (solid rear axle). i lowered the tire pressure and it rides better. i may bump it up to 34 or 35PSI if the ride gets too soft. a little alarming that a dealership would let a vehicle off the dealership not to spec. i think i'll have a talk with my salesman.

'05 6MT came with 2 key fobs, 2 master keys, one valet key, and one wallet key. the Inifiniti dealership owes u a key if ur missing one.

Yeah, that is pretty lame I must admit. The point of it escapes me....

Mikee2, I has leased the 04 coupe and got out of the lease using swaplease.com (the best website..next to this one.. I have ever seen). I purchased the 05 sedan, so I can't speak to depreciation.

Just a little note about swaplease. I posted my car on a Wednesday and had 4 buyers lined up on Thursday. After ten days (the keep the posting up until the transaction is completed), I have 11 buyers and 412 hits. Amazing!

No excuse for not preping the cars properly.

But FWIW, the reason for the high pressure is to make the car
more stable while on the boat, when the cars are clamped/tied down tight.

Tires hot: 44psi all around.
Door sticker says 30 psi all around.

Bridgestone el42 tire says max 44psi.

Will wait until tonight to let the air out. I will try around 35psi.

Ya man, it's only meant to get you in if you locked your keys in there. Programmed keys would be too big to go in your wallet anyway.
