On a semi-related note: I'm borrowing a Lincoln LS V8 from a friend while my G's repaired from a rear-ender. Now the LS has suprised me, and is a very well behaved car, with plenty of power to boot. If the domestics could build more cars this well, they'd be doing a lot better in the game. The Chrysler 300C is a good start

Been traveling every other week since Dec.
Mostly i have been getting Classics, Malibus and Impalas (in true form, I have gotten them all as sedans, never opting for a coupe). All of the aove have been crappy on acceleration, interiors and creature comforts. Each similar to the other, and not much fun at all to drive or even bash. Nothing at all compared to the G, which is superior in all categories.
However, this week I have a Mitsubish Galant. Now, it'is a gutless wonder, but... I have to tell you, it has been a blast in the parking lot. It's been pretty stressful at work this week having gone 56 hours straight without sleep and averaging 8 hours of sleep since Friday. To blow off some steam, in the early hours I go down to the parking lot and warn security at the front desk that I am gonna have some fun for a few minutes.
I smoked a few donuts (not from power but aggressive turning and faints), sloppy j-turns, and practiced quite a bit of E-brake and FF Drifts, going for some power overs too (though not enough in this 4banger, but it tried). trust me, I put this car thru some paces. I got really good at managing its FF's thru and around the lot's obstacles (thank goodness no parking headstones at this place)
Anyway, not at all impressed with HP, but it is def fun to abuse. I would never treat my G like this, but I am sure it would be a lot more fun. Gotta find a G35 rental!
