Coolest perk about owning an Infiniti is the loaner program when dropping your car off for service.
Took my 2 week old G in yesterday to have the spoiler installed and get the Touch of Class paint sealant applied. They pull up a brand new loaner G and hand me the key. "Just bring it back with gas on full" is all they say. SWEET.
Although, the car they gave me made me miss my own. Don't get me wrong, any G is nice, but this one had all black interior (like my Stone better), it didnt have the premium B or C so no dual zone auto climate, no sunroof, and no intelligent key.
Thing I noticed most was the loaner had the 17" wheels and smaller tires. Damn, those tires were noisy! My 18", wider tires dont make the noise those things did. Is that common for the 17" tires? Both are Goodyears, but I think different tread style.
The ride in the non-sport suspension loaner was too floaty for my taste too, especially at higher speeds.
Anywho, it was fun to drive another G for the day to compare with my own and I dig Infiniti for having the loaner program.

When I did the 1 year/15000 service (done at 18 months, 14K+), I was given a loaner too. Base model.
Though it looked like the same tires as mine, it sure felt rougher than mine. Maybe the tires were overinflated, or something, but it didn't handle as well.
It didn't seem to have any other options, though I really don't think it had sports suspension, but I didn't like the feel.
In my case, they didn't say I had to put gas in. For that matter, it didn't even have a full tank when I got it. I put 191 miles on it, since I needed to run out of town during the day

Guess I am being spoiled. They gave me a new car with 20 miles on it as well as a loaner. But it has the Prem C, Bose, Intelligent Key, sunroof, etc. Mine only has 6mt, sport package, 18" wheels and sunroof, no premium package (saw no need to spend the extra amount for stuff that isn't really useful).
So the intelligent key is nice once you learn how to use it, but al the other features are just a waste in my book.
This one also has the 17" wheels with crappy Goodyear RS-A tires...and your right they are noisy.

This service in general is a big plus for Infiniti. I think they are really serious about competing with Lexus and it shows in the service department

I dropped my 05 off this week for an oil change and they gave me the keys to an 04 with the sport suspension (I have the standard-but my tires are Bridgestones). Although I like the sport suspension, I decided to go with the standard since I have a infant and I won't be hitting the twisties too often. I can see it feeling floaty if you had the sport, but I like the comfort for long trips. I really like the interior updates on the 05s. They even called the following day to make sure I was happy with my experience.

After being quoted $180 for my 7500 mile check, I had my local mecahnic perform the service for $75.
There is no question that the loaner program and the service quality you get from Infiniti is great. The problem I have is (of course) their pricing. By taking my G to my local mechanic, I will save $2500 for 100K miles. The "you get what you pay for" arguement doesn't apply in this case. I use Castrol 5w-30 and will switch to Mobil1 at 15,000 miles. I have my tire shop rotate the tires and inspect the rotors. My mechanic checks the brakes, exhaust, etc.
Sorry for the rant, by Infiniti of Kirkland, WA is out of their minds to charge that much for basic service. Loaners are good, but saving cash is better.

ok guys you know what sucks about. you go in and buy a car... cool. you take it in for waranty work and they say no go with the loaner. i did buy the car myself when i was 19 and i am now 20. so i am the one on the title. my moms name is not on the title so they would not let her use a loaner and i drive her car. they say that you have to have your name on the title and you have to be 21 inorder to use the loaner car. what crap is that i pay 30+k and i dont even get a loaner. i could see if it was bought for me or it was cosigned... but i bought the car i expect the loaner. im not going back to get the axle repaired until im 21 in 3 months

thats what i call real BS(60k car but no loaner)but of course BMW dealers are known for their ****ty services
