Stock vs Lowered...PIX
Hey all...
Actually, I DO have suspension travel...quite good too!
The car handles much nicer around corners, and just like stock on the freeway. No bottoming out so far...and absolutely no rubbing.
Of course, it IS a bit of a pain in the butt whenever I'm entering/exiting driveways & going over speed bumps. But, its a slight inconvenience I'm willing to live with...it corners REALLY nice & yeah - I love the look too!
Don't worry...no outlandish wings / spoilers coming! LOL ^-^

GTING & GEEWILLIKERS...
Hard to believe, I know...but I DO have lots of travel left. Its not like those little slammed Civics you see bouncing down the road...the G has got a really good suspension & mine rides pretty good...TRUST ME. ^-^

I guess I fail to see how the car still has adequate travel left with a 2.5" drop and this is assuming 75% of the bump stop has been removed. My G with coupe springs (.6" drop) in the front has about 2.1" of upwards travel before contacting the uncut bump stop. Stock travel is about 2.7" or so. A 2.5" drop with will give you about a 1/4" of travel before hitting the stock height bump stop. Bump stops are progressive so hitting the stop mildly won't result is a harsh impact. It's when you get into the last 30% of the stop is when things get harsh and sometime violent. I've read this all before about people saying they still have plenty of travel left even though they've got a huge drop. It's simply impossible unless the strut housings have been shortend. From what I've read, only the GT springs were added and not the 350Z struts which are infact about .5-.7" shorter for more travel.
The other issue with a serious drop like this is that the suspension geometry is way out of spec now and that the struts are well outside their operating range. Snap oversteer when hitting a midcorner bump would be my biggest concern. That could happen unexpectedly and could mean a nasty wreck.
It's your car though and if you're happy, that's what's important. I'm just trying to offer some kind words of caution and warning.

Ok, Ok....
So hows about this one? I'm a 20-something Asian "racer" boy...hahaha!!! I'm used to the slammed Civic thing...LOL!!!
Just kidding...oh yeah, I did fail to mention that the bumpstops have been cut, but only by one section (they're "ribbed"). I haven't bottomed out yet...perhaps its due to the roads here, or just the fact that I tend to drive very carefully. ^-^

It really depends on which BBK...some kits' calipers are really tall, so theres a chance they won't fit.
On 2005 G's...both Coupe & Sedan...Infiniti increased the rotors & calipers by I believe 20%. These would compensate those originally after the Brembos on 6MT Coupes...but ALL the cars got'em. They actually stop better than the Brembos did...they just don't say "Brembo" and not so eye-catchingly orange in color.
Anyways, the 18's I have still have LOTS of clearance on these larger brakes...so I'd assume they should clear most aftermarket BBKs.
Hope that helps. ^-^
