Not sure what Hyde's beef is with CAI hatin'... He seems to troll the board and pounce on CAI posts like a cat on a twitching mouse.

See your negligible-gain (that's what all airbox / intake mods are when we're talking track times) modifications as a "personalization" of your car and you will be nothing but satisfied.

Blitz SUS power + Tube is the best.

Explain to me what your are thinking here? Im sure there are a few other people here that would like to know why you think this!

So how is the sound of the car with the 350z intake tube and stock filter vs intake tube and K&N inbox filter?

You can not tell any difference by just swapping the paper filter with a K&N.
The addition of the Z tube is a huge difference in sound, plus a few HP.
The K&N makes no sound difference at all.

Whatever mods Hyde does are the best. Everything else is "ricer crap".

This debate is funny. I bet it will pop up year after year, I kind of feel like it is grounds hog day here. When I looked at CAI options, I searched the forums, looked at lots of dyno plots, and from what I saw, Z tube + KN or Stillen airbox were the best combo. Also close to stock, with no concerns of hydrolock. I can't imagine why you would do anthying else unless you just want a "cooler looking" intake. Just my 2 cents. I really think we should make a sticky with some of those dyno plots comparisons so this wont have to come up again and again.

The conclusive answer is: The best CAI is the one you like best for the least amount of $$$. Discussion over
