Ghost in the Machine??

Greetings!
Had the strangest thing happen with my new 35 sedan. Fisrt off, I had the windows tinted yesterday. They should not be rolled down for three days. Knowing this, I activated the widow lock button so that I or my family would not roll down their windows. Well, today I am installing mynew license frames when my wife asks me why the windows are rolled down. Every window was rolled down and the trunk was open as well! I went to close the windows (cursing) but could only roll up the drivers (the window lock was still active). How on earth could the windows have lowered themselves!! I read in the manual that if you use the key, you can get them to open, but I have never used the key (just keep the intelligent key in my pocket). And what about the trunk? Why would that have opened??
If anyone has any ideas, please share!

Thanks,
sd_diver
(oh - the tint didn't seem to suffer any ill effects...)

"ghost" stole your remote

Pressing and holding on the "unlock" button for a few seconds on your car remote will roll down all 4 windows if you have the premium package (non-prem owners only have the front 2 roll down). The trunk was probably popped by the remote as well.

I thought that was a good feature while reading about it, but found out that there is no way to roll them back up without starting your vehicle.

You can disable these features if you like. I had mine customized last time it was in for service.

Check out https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...highlight=mode for a list of what you can do. I just printed the list off, asked politely if the ones I circled could be changed, and they did it.

You can roll them back up by using the door lock. turn clockwise or counter clockwise, I don't remember which.

Plus on hot days when I am going to get back in my car, I roll down the windows while I am on my way to help air the car out.

Thanks to all who replied. It must have been while squating to install the plate frames, somehow the intelligent key, which was in my pocket, got activated. mHollinger - thanks for the link - I think that I might do the same.

Like realgone said, on a sunny day you can use the remote to open the windows and let the car air out for a minute. This makes getting into the car much more pleasant.
