I just got my X on Friday!!! I traded in my 04 STi, which was fast, but a little to harsh and lacked CLASS! I wanted ssome help with possible mods to the 05 X. I was thinking about a Stillen exhaust, intake, and possibly a Crawford manifold. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

How much did you pay for it? Where did you get it? I live in Chicago suburbs and looking to buy one soon. Please advise on the pricing.

I am looking to get the 05 G35x with Package C + spoiler + splash guards.

 

I just picked up my X on Mon and I love it. I got it @ Motor Werks in Barrington. They matched the Grubbs VPP price for me. $36,306+TAX
Infiniti still has the 2.9% going through June so I would jump on it if I were you.

I paid $500 over invoice, at Harte Infinit, located in West Haven, Ct. I have the C package, with the splash gaurds. Can someone please help with mods???????

 

Wow...you traded in a M3 killer? Of course the sti lacks the refinement of a G. Just curious how much did you lose on the trade-in on the STI?

 

They gave me 24k. With the tax credit it got me 25,400. You cant expect to make money on a trade. The car was fun, but I couldnt see it being reliable for years down the road. I am about to buy a house and I dont want any headaches on my hands. Plus I didnt exactly baby the car...LOL

 

I see. The reason I asked was I thought about trading in my X for the rwd version. From your trade in, I guess you lost about 6,000 bucks give or take right?

What Package is included in your X? I am looking at 05 G35x with Package C and the initial offer I got from Joel Gappa at Motor Werks was 34,315 + TAx title and license. Do you have the Nav also? How much does the Nav cost?

You should make out better on a trade of an Infiniti vs an Infiniti. They will be less likely to wholesale the car like they wanted to on my STi.

 

navi is 2 grand more, i got my g for 34,000 fully loaded, and i pay 320 a month......cant beat that, the MSRP was like 39500

 

I have the Package C + Nav. I think there was one more left in silver when I got mine. The sticker on mine was $40,940. I was looking for a black one with the above options for a long time so I didnt want to make the deal go longer than needed and have someone take it off the lot first. It barely made it off the truck and it was mine. Too bad they didnt finish PDI on it till Mon. I hate buying something and waiting through the weekend to play with it.
You can probably get some more $$$ off though if you take your time.
If you live outside of Cook county you will pay tax for that county, but since Motor Werks is in Cook you will also get a bill for Cook county in a month.
I paid taxes for DuPage, but Im expecting a bill from Cook county soon.

My Advise would be do all of them, i have intake,exhaust and the crawford plenum, and i love em, so get em......

 

Congrats, TAmes! I'm waiting to see what's new for the '06 G35x but I'm definitely getting one come November. Can't waaaaaaaaait! Seeing all these pics and reading everyone's posts is really getting me excited. I already test drove the '05x and it's awesome.
