Sounds like the vdc is kicking in, that is what is meant to do. You can always turn it off, but make sure you practice in an empty parking lot so you are aware of how the car will react when it is off.

No prob, do you have a stick or automatic, and if it is stick what gear is the slip light goin on in? I have an authomatic and my light only goes on when I take corners to fast, it is wet out, or if I slam on my gas from a dead stop.

Uh, y'all do know that the throttle is NOT an On/Off switch, right? There's more positions than on the floor and all the way up.

Were you going in a straight line at the time, or going into/coming out of a corner?

If it's dry, the surface is ok, and you're going in a straight line, I just can't see the VDC kicking in.

Yeah, what he said. Maybe if the road was wet or your tires are completely worn down.
