Just got the new Cat Back installed in my 05' Sedan. Very Euro sounding. At highway speeds and sixth gear and 65/70mph the drone isn't bad at all. It can be a little more annoying around the city. I'm 35 and a little embarassed by it.

Anyway, I'll give it some time. My next step was Crawford HF cats, but I don't want the exhaust note to get much louder. I guess I'll let the Cat Back settle in before I pass final judgement.

Yah, my butt feels a little more bottom end pull. I'm getting a little more rubber hitting second gear. It's a small increase, so don't expect big miracles.

It's exactly what I was expecting power wise, I'm thinking high flow cats would take it to the next level, and complete things.

When u say new and improved stillen catback, u mean they redesigned it? because i bought there first one and luv the way it sounds around town, but on the highway the drone starts to get on my nerves

I'm a Realtor and 42 and that was what I was afraid of. It seems that all performance exhausts have drone. I don't mind some additional sound levels at WOT, but I think my car is loud enough with the Z tube and K&N. Looks like I'll stick with that for a while.

Yes they reengineered it to be a bit quieter. I haven't heard the original so I can't say how much. I like it at WOT but the normal daily driving will take some getting used to. I just got the exhaust and had it up to highway speed and it wasn't too bad, now I have a 6MT which may help.

PS) I think it's mellowing out, it's not as bad today as yesterday. Hopefully it continues.

The best way to describe the sound is Japanese mother and Italian father.

You might want to look at the Fuji, I've heard it isn't much different than stock, just a little deeper with some small performance gains. Unfortunately for the most gain you will have to put up with some volume.
