Red face URGENT Advice needed --- Should I take it?

Here is a snippet of the email I got from a local dealer for a 05 G35x with Premium Package C + Spoiler.

------Email I got from my dealer---------------------
The best I can do with the rear spoiler added is $34399. This would be a vehicle that I would have in stock (I do have the black and wheat that you like available right now). Please let me know if you would like to "secure" this G35X so that it does not get sold to someone else!!! You also will have to take delivery this month...
-------------------------------------------------------

The $34,399 price is exactly $606 over the invoice price listed on Edmunds.com ($33,793). But the edmunds invoice price does not include the price for spoiler.
How much does a spoiler cost?

I will be visitng the dealer today in another few hours.

I had an offer yesterday from a different dealer for $500 over invoice for the same car without the spoiler. Although I haven't started any negotiataions with him yet. (I am sure he will come down a little if I start negotitating)

Also, there is 1.9% & 2.9% special financing going on now. Do anyone know how long this promotion is going to continue?

Please post your advise.

Dude, I would jump at that offer. I don't have an X; I've never even priced them. But it's my understanding that the X is not-insignificantly more than the standard RWD model. Throw in Premium C, and that's a fair deal. Additionally, the aero kit runs about 550, IIRC. At the least, call the dealer and ask him if it's the complete aero kit, or just the rear spoiler.

I just did a quick build & price on Infiniti's website, and the total, w/o aero, is 36,900. That's a fair difference in my book.

BTW - is the aero even available for an 05 X?

Lastly, the 2.9/60mos is going on at least till the end of June.

Yeh, what he said. Thanks babe for typing most of that for me.

I was checking out everythingg35.com yesterday and they actually show the aero package "kit" as well as the spoiler alone. Our '04 came with the aero package that was on the sticker at about $2100 (correct me if I'm wrong Trey) but when we looked to get the spoiler put on the '05 prior to delivery it was going to be about $500.

I would jump on that deal if it includes either with the info you have provided.

Good luck hun!

Question Update - I spoke to the dealer on the phone and negotitated again

I just got off the phone with the dealer. I asked him to give me the car without the spoiler for Invoice and he agreed.

Basically this is the break down I got from him over the phone -

Car - 30,030 (Although the invoice price indicated on Edmunds is $30167)
Premium Package C - 3,016 (same as Edmunds invoice price)
Splash Guards - 101 (same as Edmunds invoice price)
Trunk Mat - 58 (same as Edmunds invoice price)
Destination charge - 610 (same as Edmunds invoice price)

Total - $33,815 (This is $137 below the invoice price indicated on Edmunds)

Basically it is coming out to $137 below invoice because the dealer quoted the car price to be $30,030.

I asked him to send me over the total price with all the tax, title, license and other fee. I am still skeptical until I see the final price as I am suspecting the dealer might add some ridiculous numbers to the fees portion.

What do you guys think... I need to make a decision by today or at the most tomorrow.

Definitely a fair deal, but no reason to feel like you need to "Rush" into it immediately if you're not ready. Discounts only get higher as the year drags on, and you know in November & December everything will be on fire sale.

Not to say you shouldn't buy a car this weekend if you're ready - but dealers have PLENTY of sedans on all of their lots, so you can afford to wait until you find the exact color/option package you're looking for.

Thanks for the comments, you basically cooled my nerves.

Wink Made another negotitaion

I was at the dealer today.

The price we finally agreed on was - $33656. This is for a 05 G35x + Premium Package C + Trunk Mat + Splash Guards + All Season Mats (Rubber) + 1yr oil changes (equals to 4 oil changes, so 4 *30 = $120 worth)

What do u guys think?

P.S - The price indicated is before Tax, License and Doc
